how do you get five syllables out of the word "recording"? I suppose you could stretch it to MAYBE four if you have, say, a really thick Louisiana accent, but FIVE?!?

Because a haiku can be fewer than 17 syllables.

I liked this sentence enough to use that broader definition.

But if accents counted, how about:
REE-uh-CO-ar-ding
